The West Virginia Health Sciences family is invited to join the School of Medicine in honoring George G. Sokos, D.O., FACC, as the Abnash C. Jain Chair of Cardiology.
The ceremony takes place on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 4 p.m. in the HSC Pylons. A reception will follow.
Dr.Sokos is the primary point of contact for all cardiology services at the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute, working closely with hospitals throughout the WVU Health System to advance cardiology care and enhance the program's national reputation.
He also serves as a professor and medical director of the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute's Advanced Heart Failure Program and the WVU Medicine Transplant Alliance's Heart Transplant Program.
